U.S. Army Fort Bragg

Project Overview

D3Energy, in collaboration with Ameresco & Duke Energy, built this 1.1MW system at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.  This is the first floating PV array on a military base and is the largest in the Southeast U.S.  Situated at Camp Mackall, Fort Bragg's training center for the Special Forces, this system will directly power the base.  The PV system is coupled with a 2MWh battery to give the largest U.S. military base the energy independence it needs in case of a power outage.
