Orlando Utilities Operations Facility

image756

Project Overview

In 2017, D3Energy built the first floating solar array in Florida for Orlando Utilities Commission.  In 2020, OUC decided to expand this array as part of a micro-grid project at their operations facility.  The aerial photo shows the difference between the panels installed in 2017 (blue) and the panels installed in 2020 (black).  OUC sees floating solar as a huge opportunity in their service area, utilizing the countless bodies of water in a very densely populated area.
